Ray Shaddick

Ray Shaddick President
Ray was born in Kilkhampton and has been entertaining people since the l950s. He played the well-known Father Willis Organ at the Parish Church for over twenty years. He does a lot of charity work, including the Children's Hospice South West and the R.N.L.I.
He was a very popular Presenter of Sunday Choice on B.B.C. Radio Cornwall, for several years and is a great promoter of our Cornish Choirs and Bands, which he holds in high esteem. Ray is President of the St. Columba Celtic Male Voice Choir and is Vice President of Hayle & Treverva Male Voice Choir’s; he is also an honorary Life Member of the Federation of Cornish male Choirs. President of the Friends of Athelstan House and Day Centre in Bodmin (A Cornwall Care Residential Home) and Bude and Stratton Mencap Society. In l994 he was made a Cornish Bard for his work in helping to promote the Cornish Spirit and Dialect and for his support to many charities in Cornwall. His Bardic title is Gwas Kylgh (Servant of Kilkhampton)
